Eric Thompson is an award-winning editor with over 18 years of experience shaping compelling visual stories for brands, agencies, and institutions worldwide. He has held senior roles at Ogilvy & Mather, Mad Ruk Entertainment, VML, Wunderman Thompson, Radke Films, and the Toronto International Film Festival, and now brings his expertise to clients as a full-time freelance Senior Editor.
At the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), Eric oversaw high-profile promotional campaigns, producing and editing content for cinema, broadcast, and online platforms, while managing live events and celebrity interviews. At Ogilvy & Mather, he led the in-house video department, directing, producing, and editing campaigns for dozens of national and international commercials. His work as Head of Production at Mad Ruk Entertainment and as senior editor at VML further demonstrates his ability to deliver content that balances creativity, strategy, and impact across music videos, branded content, and major brand campaigns including Mazda, HSBC, Tylenol, Volkswagen, OLG, and Shell.
