Eric Thompson
Eric is based in Toronto and has been working in video and film production for over 17 years. He has worked at prominent agencies and organizations such as Radke Films, the Toronto International Film Festival, Ogilvy & Mather, Mad Ruk Entertainment and is currently the Senior Editor at Wunderman Thompson advertising agency.
At the Toronto International Film Festival Eric worked as the full-time video editor/producer in the Digital Media department. At TIFF he edited the promotional videos that are used online, in cinemas and broadcast TV. He also worked extensively on the production team shooting live events and interviews with high-profile celebrities throughout the year.
At the award winning agency Ogilvy & Mather, Eric spent over 4 years as the Head of In-House Video Production. Splitting time between producing, editing and directing, Eric’s skills span across many disciplines within the commercial production industry. He’s also edited dozens of national and international TV and web commercials.
As the Head of Production at Mad Ruk Entertainment, he oversaw music videos, branded and commercial content.
Now as Senior Editor at Wunderman Thompson, Eric has worked on brands like Mazda, HSBC, Tylenol, Shell and many others.
Aside from being passionate about creating video content, Eric loves to travel, stay active and hopelessly cheer for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
